Three nights of Trifecta week at Dantes, this show went down. Nostalgia and laughter filled the room. From the original film with creative editing, live music, comical acting and girls skateboarding. Again, the ramps were built, painted and shredded by the females. Thank you to everyone involved.

Three days of Oregon Trifecta and three ladies battling it out for first. Erin Wolfkiel, Lizzie Armanto and Julie Kindstrand all stood on the podium all three days. GRO Riders Erin Wolfkiel and Lizzie Armanto took top two overall.

This past weekend, GRO Rider Erin Wolfkiel claimed first overall for the women’s division at Oregon Trifecta. This is great to for two reasons.

First, Julie Lynn (aka Julie Kindstrand) has been undefeated for years in the concrete bowl series. Both of the last two stops of Trifecta, no more. This marks the return of the battle for the top in the concrete arena. Girls are stepping up and the reigning thoughts of what was the top skill level is no more. The opportunity is out there, who will be ones to push the limit?

Second, Erin Wolfkiel was found at Ollie’s Skatepark in Florence, Kentucky. She had been skating for less than two years. She attended the GRO Workshop and wanted to drop into the vert ramp. She did not see her own potential. Now just a few years later and here she is winning Oregon Trifecta, Congrats Erin!

The first ladies of action sports hit Venice Beach, California yesterday when the 4th Annual Supergirl Jam’s Skateboard Street, Snowboard Rail Jam and Inline Skating Best Trick competitions played before thousands of fans along the boardwalk. At day’s end, Alexis Sablone (New York, NY), Danyale Patterson (Anchorage, AK) and Fallon Heffernan (Jacksonville Beach, FL) stood atop the podium draped in the winner’s pink Supergirl cape as the champions of the skateboard, snowboard and inline contests. These ladies were the best of the more than 50 young women who participated in the third stop of the action sports industry’s largest all-female competition and lifestyle festival. The Supergirl Jam event series features more than 100 pros in surfing, skateboarding, snowboarding and inline skating, and is designed to empower young women by celebrating their strength, creativity and intelligence.
