Friday – Girls Bowl Contest

The Side Project Coverage

The contest was great and the girls were fearless. There were riding doubles and stepping up to the jam format contest in etnies Skull Bowl. There were some hard slams and a small breaks but they continued strong to put on a great show. Heidi was out to represent for the women and inspire the new riders and many young girls to answer the call. The future of the sport is in the youth. Julie, the newest gro rider, won again and with Erin gro girls claimed two of the top six spots.

Transworld Skateboarding

The girls rode early that day, with the contest beginning at noon. A lot of girls from last year cam back again and were met with some young blood stepping from the bowl world to the street. Again, the contest represented the upcoming riders but very few riders over twenty years old. This contest brings girls from all over the country and around the world to come together to push the bar and progress ideas.

That night we got to take the night off and check out the Bad Religion Concert not even a half mile from the park.

To GvR Site
Gro is on an important mission to change beliefs about girls and we need you!
Some believe that girls contests do not put fans in the stands. Let’s change that belief.
Here is our chance. GvR is coming up the first weekend of October. Since the first GvR etnies has shown support by including both women bowl and street contests. Now it is time to return the favor and show our support for the ladies. If we want to see women events continue and grow then lets show that we are appreciative. Show that we are here for the ladies!
Thank you etnies for your continued support.
