FDR is the filthy skate paradise under I 95. I might have moved away but my heart will always be at that busted place. I’ve spent countless hours of my life there. I describe it the Californians as a “growing art piece,” a concrete mecca of freedom and self-expression.
The greatest thing about learning to skate at FDR is that no one cares. Just bring beer or pick up a broom or paintbrush every once and a while. It was nice to be part of a skatepark where locals had a sense of community. Anyways, I love California. I love the GRO Sessions at Costa Mesa.
To the lazy pocket, the poop shoot, the bunker, the mexi walls, the dong, bath tub, square and revolution bowls and of course the overhang wall – I miss you.
