Lorena Lima has decided to take some time off from the Americas and head to Barcelona to study for a few months. Asiplanchaba caught up with her arrival and interviewed her. We at GRO had a couple questions of our own for Lorena…

What takes you to Barcelona?
As a skateboarder, I naturally have always wanted to go to Barcelona is skate all the sick spots I have only heard about and only saw in videos. Since I’m a college student talked to my study abroad adviser to see if it is possible to study abroad for a semester in Barcelona and it was, so I figured why not?!

How is gro involved in this trip?
GRO has been a big help to allow me to go on this trip. With GRO’s help, and Courtney Payne the founder of GRO, I received the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship.

What are some things you hope to get done in your time abroad?
I hope to travel Europe as much as possible, learn Spanish, meet some amazing people, continue my studies, and of course SKATE!

Lorena will be back in the US with us for all the New York fun in June!
