The Trifecta of Florida went down March 6-8th covering Jacksonville, New Smyrna Beach and Cocoa Beach. The weather was beautiful and the girls stepped up the game. The one weekend event allowed more girls from other states to participate for the entire event. Add World Cup Skateboarding sanctioning the event and the stakes were set. Girls came from Massachusetts, Ohio, California, Georgia, Pennsylvania and of course the locals from Florida.
The podium positions shifted from day to day with Julie Kindstrand in first place all weekend. The final ladies champions were 1st – Julie Kindstrand, 2nd – Nora Vasconcellos, and 3rd –Erin Wolfkiel. Next year it would be great to see the girls with a jam format and a prize purse. If you have any ideas or would like to sponsor a prize purse for the women’s division in 2010 please contact us. |

Thanks for the coverage AND for all you are doing to support these girls! As a woman who got kicked off the baseball team in 1970 BECAUSE I was a girl . . . the work you are doing is near and dear to my heart.
